There are now more than 200 million web sites on the Internet. The web is filled with unlimited amounts of valuable content and an equal amount of junk. Who has time to sift through all that looking for just the right tool at just the right price to make your web life easier.

Fiverr is an amazing little site with just about anything you could ever need available for...$5. Need a logo for your business, no problem - that will be $5 please. Want to learn how to surf or do the samba? Someone will teach you for $5. Yep, everything is just $5. There's fun and bizarre to silly stuff like "I will open a bottle of wine with my shoe and tape it for $5" or "I will write your message on a hot air balloon for $5." You can also get help with Flash, Photoshop, WordPress, Joomla, get your resume re-written and the list goes on and on and on. The service providers are rated by others they've done work for so you have some references. You can suggest things you're willing to pay $5 for or offer up something you're willing to do for $5. Their motto is "Buy. Sell. Have fun." You can get similar technical help at rentacoder.comor elance.com but you'll pay a lot more so check out fiverr.com. You have nothing to lose but, well, five dollars.

You've posted your photographs, paintings, artwork, poetry, writings etc. online and you'd like to protect your original work. We all right-click, "save image as" when we see an image we like. While you understand this is going to happen, you'd still like to protect your intellectual property and make sure someone isn't making money off your hard work.

Creative Commons is a non-profit organization that gives"everyone from individual creators to large companies and institutions a simple, standardized way to grant copyright permissions to their creative work." It is recognized worldwide and enables people to easily change their copyright terms from the default of "all rights reserved" to "some rights reserved."

NVU (IN VIEW) is a nifty little "WYSIWYG" HTML editor - perfect for those on the fly edits for your web site or HTML project. If Dreamweaver is just plain overkill for your skill set or needs, then this free program should work just fine. It hasn't been updated since 2005 and has no install program. You'll have to create a shortcut for the nvu.exe file. Very old school and basic but gets the job done. Versions are available for Windows, Mac and Linux.
